The large windows provided ample natural light and a pleasant view of the charming canal below, enhancing the overall experience. Despite the stormy weather outside, I found the suite well-prepared, complete with ample tea and coffee facilities that contributed to a cozy atmosphere. The peacefulness of the room was particularly notable, allowing for restful moments even amid the lively Kings Day celebrations happening just outside. While the historic character of the building does result in thin walls, which can be a concern, this aspect also adds to its unique charm. The bathroom was well-equipped for practical needs, including space for drying clothes, which I found beneficial during my stay. Given its prime location, spacious accommodations, and thoughtful amenities, Steenhof Suites offers good value for those seeking relaxation in Leiden. It's a spot I would consider revisiting for both its comfort and convenience.
